Usability

Usability describes how user-friendly a website is and how intuitively a user can interact with a website in order to achieve certain goals (either those of the website operator or those of the website user).

Good usability is rarely noticed, but bad usability is immediately apparent. It manifests itself when people find what they are looking for without having to think: comprehensible navigation, clear labels on buttons, and forms that only ask for what is truly necessary.

Usability is measurable through the behavior of visitors. High Bounce rates, abandoned forms or many clicks to the goal are indications of hurdles. The most telling remains the simplest test: having a person who does not know the website solve a specific task and watching them do it.
